Meet The Team

Mike Censke

In a small country classroom located in Lacey, MI, Mike Censke's enthusiasm for natural resources was ignited by the influence of his 4th grade teacher. He went on to earn his degree in Wildlife Ecology from Northern Michigan University. With over 15 years of service with Michigan Conservation Districts, Mike has put into action numerous conservation programs aimed at safeguarding soil, water, and wildlife resources. When he’s not enjoying the great outdoors, Mike enjoys composing and playing music, diving into Sociology and Early Medieval History (before the Norman invasion of England), practicing homesteading skills, the building trades, maintaining health and fitness, and most importantly, cherishing time with his family.

Shaun Grace

Shaun was raised on a small farm, which sparked his lifelong passion for the outdoors. With over 13 years of professional experience in environmental management and outdoor recreation, he has developed a diverse skill set that includes invasive species control, native plant landscaping, land management, and outdoor recreation planning. His work reflects a deep commitment to preserving and enhancing natural spaces. Outside of his professional life, Shaun is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending his free time hiking, fishing, kayaking, and camping with his wife and children.
